Oil Painting Basics: A 4-Week Workshop

Curious about oil painting or ready to brush up on your skills? This four-week, hands-on workshop is a great way to dive into the world of oils in a friendly, supportive setting.

We’ll meet once a week for 2.5 hours, giving you plenty of time to learn the basics, from mixing colors and using mediums to building a composition and developing your own painting style. You’ll get personal feedback, plenty of practice, and walk away with a finished piece by the end of the course.

Workshop dates:

December 4, 11, 18, and Jan 1 (skipping 12/25 for holiday)

Thursdays, 6 PM – 8:30 PM

Location: Dive Studios - Corktown

Included in the workshop:

• 10 hours of in-person instruction

• A canvas to work on

• Mediums and a selection of primary oil paints

• Brushes

• A laid-back, small group environment where you can ask questions and get individual help

No experience necessary - just bring your curiosity (and maybe an apron). All levels are welcome!
