Often called "opaque watercolor," gouache is a fast-drying medium that emphasizes precision, bold color blocking, and clean edges. This 5-week course is structured to help you develop the control necessary for illustration, concept design, and creating finished pieces with clarity and depth.

What You Will Learn

In this focused workshop, you will gain hands-on experience in:

• Controlling Opacity: Mastering the balance of water to paint to achieve a smooth, matte finish that fully covers the layer beneath.

• Color Blocking and Flat Fields: Developing the technique needed for clean edges and creating strong, graphic compositions.

• Layering and Blending: Learning to build layers both wet-on-wet (for soft blends) and dry-on-dry (for texture and detail).

• Precision and Speed: Using gouache's quick-drying nature to cultivate discipline and move confidently through your creative process.
